Avid Media Composer 5 and HP Z800 Workstation

I just started setting up an HP Z800 workstation with Media Composer 5 installed.  There has been a few challenges getting it started, but I am slowly over coming them.  If you are a novice; this is not a job for you.  This does get very complicated; especially  if you are intergrating this system into an already existing Unity Lanshare environment.  I am now installing the XDCAM PMW-EX30  deck to work in the system.  If you interest are in this system and it's performance contact me.  I will also entertain any suggestions or experiences that you have to make this project any easier.

I have been told to take a look at what our Media giants a re trying to do next.  It seems there is new code being embedded in to HDMI devices. There is an article I would like you guys to take a look at.  Go to this website and check it out closely http://www.aacsla.com/home .

I think we need to rtake a look at how this will effect across the industry, especially when people bring to use equipment and media not made for this type of encryption and decryption.  Tell me what you think?

Avid or Final Cut Pro?

Which is the better program, and also which is easier to learn, for non linear editing? Final Cut Pro or Avid? Please explain why?
