GPU Display driver mismatch Media Composer 5.5

Greetings once again, Today while working with Media Composer 5.5 I got the error message "GPU display mismatch"; I had run into this before in previous versions of MC. I could not remember where I need to change a txt file to make it work. There was a problem the supporting txt file "QualifiedGpuBoards.txt" found in(C:\Program Files (x86)\Avid\vid Media Composer\Supporting Files\Config). I can't take the credit for this post, I have to give credit to the members of the Avid community for sharing thier knowledge. I am a member of that community and like share the information I have on the programs. I am posting this here because I realize how difficult it can be to get support on programs; unless you pay for technical support. I believe in sharing my knowledge to make life easier for all of us. Graduation Time

Once again it's that time of year; we go tape all the graduations that are happening in our county.  This is a long set of days for us for a great occasion.  Congrats to all the young adults that are graduating,  I wish you much success in the future.  Remember your families are depending on you now, to do the next right thing!

Media Composer 5.5 install on Hp xw8600 Workstation

I have been recently given the task to do a complete install of Media Composer 5.5 on a HP XW8600 Workstation.  This workstation will be running Windows 7 professional 64bit OS. I must first remove the current OS which is Windows XP Professional and back up all Media Composer 3.1.3 files. Format the HD, and do a complete system install of the Windows 7 OS.  I will keep you all posted as I continue this install.

I'm Back once again!

Avid Media Composer 5 and HP Z800 Workstation

I just started setting up an HP Z800 workstation with Media Composer 5 installed.  There has been a few challenges getting it started, but I am slowly over coming them.  If you are a novice; this is not a job for you.  This does get very complicated; especially  if you are intergrating this system into an already existing Unity Lanshare environment.  I am now installing the XDCAM PMW-EX30  deck to work in the system.  If you interest are in this system and it's performance contact me.  I will also entertain any suggestions or experiences that you have to make this project any easier.
