I was recently asked, "Is there some inexpensive video conversion software out the that was better than what comes with windows?" My reply was of course, it all depends on what you want to do. I ran across this software and tried it and it worked pretty well for the cost. It was very versatile in converting the differant formats. It even converts High-Definition (HD) video encoding and decoding like AVCHD to AVI makes it possible to get stunning High-Definition videos for HD video players. It also gives the ability to cut clips, edit,merge and split features. However; it is not the high end Avid, Final Cut or Premiere editing software for the Pros.
